A graduate of the Academy of arts from 1819 till 1824 was Listed as a pensioner of the Empress Maria Feodorovna. Received medals: in 1824 – 2 silver; in 1825 – 1 silver; in 1827 – 2 gold for the engraving: "Prodad holding on a plate the head of John the Baptist." In 1824 issued a certificate of 2 degrees and was left at the Academy. In 1829 dismissed from the Academy with the title of artist XIV class.
