Son of academician of engraving. An auditor student of the Academy of arts since 1832 Received medals: in 1836 – 2 silver; in 1838 – 1 silver for "promising types of rooms in the Palace in Alexandria watercolor". In 1839 – the title of artist XIV class and was awarded a sword; in 1843, the title of academician for "the draft house of a rich nobleman". From 1850 to 1859 – the Keeper of the academic Museum. In 1855 the title of honorary member. The Builder of the Church in the engineers ' Castle in St. Petersburg.
