Was born in Kiev. In 1912 – 1916 he studied at the Kyiv drawing school N. Murashko, 1918 – 1919 – in the Studio of decorative art by A. Exter. Was part of the group STUFF. From 1919 she lived in Moscow, where he studied at GUHM A. Osmerkin and D. shcherbinovsky, and at the VKhUTEMAS in the Studio R. Falk (1920 – 1925), from which he graduated with the title artist of the first degree for the painting class. In 1928 he was a member of the Association of GROWTH. A significant influence on her development as avant-garde artist had a brother, Isaac Rabinovich.
