Between 1943 and 1948 he studied at the Palekh art school. Teacher - N.M.Zinoviev, D. N. Butorin, I. V. Markichev. In the years 1954-1959, he worked in the Palekh art-production workshops. In the years 1968-1989 he was the chief editor of Palekh newspaper. Themes of works: folklore, genre scenes.
