Portraits, typical images of Estonian peasants ("Man with pipe", wood, 1920), animal work ("ROE", 1929) are simply simple, elegant plasticity of forms.

After Graduating From Petersburg. hood.-prom. Uch-school A. Stieglitz (1905). In 1905-15 he lived in Paris and studied in private studios. From 1916 he lived and worked in Estonia. In 1934-35 hood. hands. Gzhel ceramic factory (Mosk. region). Easel sculpture "Portrait of wife" (1916, 1921), "Man with a pipe" (1920), "Woman kneeling" (1923), "the Estonian man (1923), the animal sculpture "ROE deer" (1929), "Pig" (1934), etc.
