Was born in Irkutsk. From 1954 to 1959 he studied at the Irkutsk art school at B. I. Lebedinsky and G. V. Kazakova, from 1964 to 1970 - at the Moscow polygraphic Institute at B. N. Basov, G. T..Goroshenko, B. A. Sholokhov. A member of the Union of artists of the USSR since 1967, From 1967 to 1976 he taught at the Irkutsk College of arts. Among his pupils - S. P. Nazarov, and L. N. Nazarov, A. P. Lobanov, O. V. Besedin, V. I. Sokolov. Since 1975 he teaches at the Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute, the architectural Department. Since 1978, head of the Department "drawing, painting and sculpture", Institute of Informatics problems.
