Born in the village of Shuhra, Ivanovo region. Here, among the vastness of meadows and arable land with shady, cool woodland, passed the first years of the life of the artist. After demobilization, he entered the Ivanovo art College, where his teachers were experienced teachers I. D. Kalashnikov, M. I. Malyutin. Communication with them has strengthened the commitment to the traditions of the Russian school of realistic landscape painting, with its deep image content. In 1950 he graduated College and arrived to Yalta.

The originality of the Crimean landscape, penetrated by sunlight, which revealed the purity and sonorous earthy shades of nature in their tonal unity, changed the creative style of the artist.

Paintings 60-70 years, built on the harmonious combination and fine scale of a few gray-green and blue tones, they appear air, depriving some frozen volumes of field.

Strelow-landscape painter, created his own, with his own world of imagery that draws the viewer into the sphere of good and bright lyrical feelings, marked by the integrity of the relationship to nature.

Since 1958, he participated in Republican and all-Union exhibitions. Since 1961 he is a member of the Union of artists of the USSR. His works are kept in museums of Ukraine, were exhibited in Hungary, Canada, Poland, Switzerland, Japan, USA, Greece, Holland.

In Yalta, he writes of the sea with a pearly glare of sunlight on the water and towering above the town the mountains in the purple haze, rolling amber-green wave surf and ships at berth in the grey cloudy evening.

Water — river, lake, sea — is present in many paintings STRELOVA. It opens countless shades and as in the spring flood of the rivers ("Big water"), before the storm heavy the frozen ("Twilight"), in the solemn calm of the morning dawns, breaking through pink glow grey facelessness of the night ("Spring morning"), in slow reaches of rivers have banks overgrown with sedge and bushes of willows ("My homeland"),

Strelow traveled extensively in the country: the Arctic, the Kola Peninsula, Chernihiv, proceeded on foot Ivanovo and Vladimir region. A simple plot of landscapes ("Spring birches", "nature's First green") discover the beauty of the world.
