He studied in 1936 – 1940, the University. Stefan Batory at the faculty of arts in the city of Vilna (Vilnius), Poland. In 1940-1941 and 1943 - 1949 – at the sculpture Department of the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. I. Repin in Leningrad under A. T. Matveev, V. A. Sinaisky. Thesis "Mikhoels" (in the clay).

Participant of exhibitions since the beginning of 1950-ies member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

The only work in China – "Moldavian dance" (1953 - 1954).

A number of monumental works in conjunction with other sculptors: sculpture of Lenin in the village of Il'ichevo (1956), Lenin monument at the Kirov factory (1958) and others.

A bust of him in the Museum of the Cinematheque in Jerusalem, Israel (since 2000).
