The Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art presents an exhibition of monumental sculptures by Italian Stefano Bombardieri
"The Boy and the Elephant".
Visitors will see the author's works, balancing between hyperrealism and surrealism, the giant beasts trapped in modern culture.
The exhibition "The Boy and the Elephant" is about the fact that Omniscience is possible. When we were little, our world was huge, there was no ranking table, we did not divide everything into our own and others', important and unimportant, major and minor, we did not separate the grains from the chaff. The world seemed to us one and indivisible, there was nothing to count: the world was ONE. We accepted everything as it was, without questioning anything, without cutting off from ourselves what later began to seem useless or incomprehensible: a child does not soon become a sculptor, cutting off the unnecessary from a piece of marble to make his own creation from it - at the beginning a block of marble pleased us by itself and it never occurred to us to spoil it. The author invites viewers to look at the world through the eyes of a child.
