展览 4 九月 − 3 十月 2021
on September 3 at 18.00 Primorsky State Picture Gallery invites to the opening of a personal exhibition of works by Vsevolod Mechkovsky - Primorsky artist, graphic artist, member of the international association of artists "Fantastica and Visionaria", a member of the Primorsky Regional Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, a member of the Union of Architects, timed to his 75 th anniversary.
Today it is impossible to imagine the creative space of Primorye without Vsevolod Vladimirovich. For more than thirty years his works evoke a wide range of opinions and assessments among viewers, art critics and colleagues. Vsevolod Meczkowski's work is full of high poetry and lyricism, life-affirming understanding and humanity. In his world gods, people, heroes of myths, animals and plants live and communicate. This world is extremely subjective and extremely individual. The master managed to do what not many people do - to create a unique space, to find both in life and in creativity his Muse with "a face with a different expression".
Nikolai Vasilievich Gogol put the words that became famous - "everyone will love us black, and everyone will love us white" - into the mouth of the main character Chichikov in Dead Souls. I think that they sufficiently correspond to the idea of a real, deep love for the world, which carries the creativity of Vsevolod Mechkovsky. The title of the exhibition has another meaning - in terms of the idea of its exhibition solution. Employees of Primorsky Picture Gallery give the viewer an opportunity to feel and compare how the work "sounds" in the conditional space of the studio (without design) and in the exhibition, offering visitors to try to love the work "black".
