Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow holds exhibition "Primrose. Early Color in Russian Photography. 1860-1970s".

Metaphorically titled "First Flower", the exposition demonstrates the emergence and development of color in Russian photography in the 1860s-1970s and is simultaneously a history of Russia in photography.

The works of both classics of Russian photography - P. Pavlov, K. Bergamasco, A. Eichenwald, A. Rodchenko, V. Mikosha, G. Petrusov, D. Baltermants, B. Mikhailov and others - and unknown authors alike allow us to trace how life was changing in a country that experienced historical and sociopolitical disasters in a century and what role photography played in that period.
