展览 12 − 21 八月 2022
On August 12, the Primorsky Picture Gallery presents an exhibition based on the results of the contest of children's creative works "India. The Road to Freedom". The exhibition coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Independence of India and is part of the festival "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav". At the vernissage on August 15 at 14.00 the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners with diplomas and memorable prizes will take place.
In the exhibition the audience will see the best works of the four hundred submitted for the contest from the students of art schools and studios in Vladivostok and Primorsky Krai. The young artists drew attention to important moments in the history of the Indian people: the Sepoy Rebellion of 1857-1859, the "salt riot", "hunger protests", cases of civil disobedience and directly to the image of Mahatma Gandhi - the leader of the national liberation struggle of India for independence. In their vivid works, the participants also showed the original culture and folk art of India - crafts, film, dance, music, which always arouses a keen interest in any creative person.
