In the aura of space. Modern Visual Art of Yakutia

From August 27 to October 2 at the exhibition "In the aura of space. Contemporary Art of Yakutia" the audience will see the works from the collection of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Contemporary artists of the Republic of Sakha work successfully and create their own art world, where there is a place for myths and legends, history and modernity, global problems of mankind. Through painting, graphics, sculpture, decorative and applied art the authors tell about the eternal themes of existence: man and the world, man and society, man and nature, man and spiritual perfection. Their creative aspirations reflect the peculiarity of the professional fine art of Yakutia, its origins, its roots going deep into the ancient Turkic and Oriental civilizations, its reliance on Russian and world artistic cultures. The exhibition will feature reconstructions of national costumes for the film "Tygyn Darkhan" (2020).
