"Who can be an artist?" - Primorsky Picture Gallery and Primorsky Oceanarium offer to ponder on this question. Can only humans be creators or can our little brothers also draw?
on August 25 at 17.00 we will present creative works of penguins, created by their paws. A team of eight feathered pets worked on the works. Penguins have mastered the technique of finger painting as a new game. According to Oceanarium experts, the sea birds are engaged every day. The paint used for the fun is the safest, children's finger paint.
Penguins live in large colonies in the open sea of the Southern Hemisphere, they are surrounded by ice. And for a complete immersion into the atmosphere the exposition will be complemented by works of famous coastal artists. You will see landscapes of Antarctica, icebergs in graphic works by Evgeny Dimur and harsh icy world in paintings by Kirill Shebeko.
On the first Saturday of the exhibition, August 27, at 16.00, an informative meeting with Olga Demina - the author of the project, leading specialist of ornithology department of the Primorsky Oceanarium. Participants will have the opportunity not only to talk about the life and artistic abilities of penguins, but also to take part in a master class for creating an original souvenir with penguin feathers. The event will end with a quiz and distribution of prizes from the publishing house "Bombora".
The exhibition will run until September 18.
