Multimedia exhibition "Aivazovsky. Genius and the Sea 2.0"

展览 18 十月 − 8 十二月
From October 18 to December 8, the Sverdlovsk Film Studio (Yekaterinburg) will host a multimedia exhibition dedicated to the works of Ivan Aivazovsky.
This is not a premiere screening. In 2020, the movie about the great marinist already came to the Urals, but due to the pandemic, its screening was suspended. And now, 4 years later, the updated and supplemented multimedia exhibition "Aivazovsky. Genius and the Sea. 2.0" by numerous requests of Ekaterinburg residents will be shown once again.
Ivan Aivazovsky was a Russian painter, figure of fine arts and collector. Famous mainly for his seascapes, he is deservedly called the "Czar of the Sea".
To create the multimedia project, 100 originals from the Feodosia Picture Gallery, the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery and other Russian museums were digitized and animated. Before the visitors of the exhibition they will appear on huge panoramic canvases and screens of various configurations, creating the effect of real presence in the paintings, among the raging waves and impending water blocks. The unique scenario of the movie, which combines carefully selected, including the rarest, facts of life and work of the famous marine painter, was prepared with the assistance of renowned art historians-experts on the works of I.K. Aivazovsky from the Feodosia Picture Gallery.
The movie is also interesting and unique in that it is not limited only to the marine theme of Ivan Aivazovsky's work. There are numerous paintings of the painter on historical and religious themes, mainly concerning the country and people to which the artist belonged ethnically - beautiful Armenia, which is a little-known fact of his creative biography. In addition, he was an avid traveler, depicting on canvas the countries that were strange for his time: America, Italy, Holland, France, Turkey, Egypt and the states of Asia Minor.
In the multimedia cinema hall you can sit comfortably in soft cushioned armchairs and enjoy what is happening on the screen. The paintings that come to life before your eyes and the heartfelt voices of professional actors will help you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the pictures.

The interactive exposition is an integral part of the multimedia project. It includes illustrated information stands, touch panels with detailed information and interesting facts. It allows to study deeper the artist's life path, and 3D-holograms and photo zones - to immerse into his work. Also in the interactive zone, visitors will find a gallery of reproductions and a wall game "Sea Battle".
With convenient schedules, flexible pricing, and content designed for visitors of all ages, it's easy to plan a personal or family vacation.
