are honored to invite you to the vernissage
"FREUDIAN STRELBICKA."
january 18, 2025 at 18:00 in the Skolkovo Gallery
Tanya Strelbitskaya is one of the brightest representatives of Russian expressionism, a recognized maestro.
The peculiarity of Tanya's works is deep emotionality.
Addressing the themes of corporeality and sensuality, the artist offers a special view of the invisible background of reality. The large size of her canvases and the coloristic explosion express the inner world spontaneously, irrationally, showing the artist's freedom from the control of reason and "common sense".
Her work with great care and tact develops a dialog between modern painting and psychoanalysis, which even now stands not simply as one branch of a widely understood "psychology," not as a school among schools, but as a turning point in our spiritual evolution, as an epochal factor in the intellectual development of culture.
Her work is close to magical practices and has a powerful playful component. Tanya's works are not intended for simple "aesthetic admiration", but rather for provocative expansion of intuition through a controlled explosion of emotions.
Exhibition curator Natalie Golitsyna.
The dates are January 18 through February 17, 2025
