For many years L. G. Soloviev lived and worked in the wonderful Russian city of Voronezh, where in 1893, with the local circle of lovers of painting on the basis of Private drawing classes Solovyov was opened free Drawing school, in subsequent years, expanding and developing.

In the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg is one of several sketches from the painter's "Landscape with clouds" "In the desert", "Field with sheaves"; in the Tretyakov gallery in Moscow is his genre painting "Cobblers".
