Born in Riga. In 1935 he graduated from the Latvian Art Academy – J. Kugas, decorative-art workshop with thesis "After fishing".
He worked in many theatres in Daugavpils (1936.-40.), traveling in the Latvian SSR (1940.-41.), in the Riga Drama theatre (1942.-45.), in the State Liepajskom theatre as the main artist (1945.-71.). 1945.-56. year was the teachers Liepajskoj secondary school of applied art.
1970. and in the 1980-ies A. ticket continued to work in Liepajskom, and at the Valmiera theater.
Part in exhibitions since 1934. year with sketches of scenery and easel painting, mainly landscapes.
Member of the Union of Artists since 1950. year.
Honored worker of arts from 1955. year.
In the mid-40-o years has become a prominent Latvian stage designer who stood out with a realistic style and understanding of the problem representations in drama. Famous works – A. Brigadere "Rutupiae" 1942, R. blaumaņa "sweet butylki" 1942 and "the lost son" 1943 – all in the Riga Drama theatre.
