Born in the village of Carmania puchezhskiy district of the Ivanovo region. Laureate of Lenin Komsomol prize (1978), silver medalist of the USSR Academy of Arts (1987). Member of the Union of artists of the RSFSR in 1976. In 1963-1968 he studied at the Palekh art school. Teacher - N.M.Zinoviev, B. M. Nemtinov. In the years 1968-1989 he worked at the Palekh art-production workshops.
