Graduated from Art school in Odessa. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR. In 1914 - 1917 he lived in Moscow and was close to unity. "World of art". In 1818 - 1923 lived in Central Asia. He worked in publishing houses, was Deputy Chairman of the Turkestan Committee for museums, conservation and restoration of monuments. Since 1923 he lived in Moscow. Worked in museums, including the Tretyakov gallery.
