Born in 1910 into a large peasant family in the village of Keys Vyatka province (now Kirov region). Before the revolution the family moved to the Altai, the father soon dies, and the children come to the orphanage. In 17 years, having incomplete secondary education, began working as a bookkeeper in the village of minino Chelyabinsk region. During the great Patriotic war defending the Homeland: he participated in the battles, was wounded, he had military awards. After the war he lived in the village, worked as an accountant. In 1950 moved to the city of mound, worked as chief accountant of the trust "'khozstroy".
In the early 1970s he began to paint, creating a pictorial encyclopedia of folk life. Since 1985 his works were presented in group exhibitions of Amateur artists in Kirov, Kurgan, Moscow. In 1986, 1993 and 1997, he held solo exhibitions in Kurgan and Tyumen. In 1999 he held his first solo exhibition" Everyday life and holidays of the Siberian village" at the Museum of naive art in Moscow. Works are in the collections of the Museum of naive art in Moscow and the Kirov regional art Museum named after V. M. and A. M. Vasnetsov.
