One of the founders of the Ukrainian scenography. From 1919 he engaged in book and magazine graphics, from the 1920 theatre. 1925 - the chief artist Kharkovskogo theatre of Opera and ballet. Scored the Opera "Faust" Gounod (1924), "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" by G. Verdi. Rossini (1928), "Carmen" by Georges Bizet, and Lohengrin by R. Wagner, "Natalka Poltavka" by M. Fox (all 1934). In the Kiev theater of Opera and ballet "Red poppy" Glier (1928), "Danny plays" Ksheneka (1929), "Zsolt Hoop" by B. lyatoshinsky (1930), "Zaporozhets beyond the Danube" S.
