Vincentovich Balzukevich

Born in the family of the Vilna Carver taught Vincenty of Balukevich, a brother of the painter Jozef Balukevich and artist, Lucia Balukevich.

He lived in Vilna in 1919, and from 1903-1907. Initial art formation has received at the Vilnius Drawing school I. P. Trutnev. He was buried at the Rossa cemetery (Race) in Vilna. Professor of Vilnius Stefan Batory University (1919), head of Department of sculpture of the University (1919-1935).

Helped Anthony Wiveliscombe in the casting of the monument to the battle of Grunwald, near Krakow (1910).

Known as the author of the allegorical figure of Electricity in the building, Vilnius CHP and the monument to the composer Stanislaw Moniuszki in the square near the Church. Catherine (1922; bust Moniuszko mounted on a pedestal remaining from the monument to Alexander Pushkin with the evacuation of the bust of Russian poet from Vilna in 1915).

Created a monument to the famous banker and patron józef Montville in the Park at the Franciscan Church of the assumption of St. Virgin Mary (sculpture created in 1911, the monument erected in 1935, according to other sources in 1931).

The author of the medallions, realistic sculptural groups (Immigrants, Orphans, War, 1905-1908), busts (Adam Mickiewicz in the Church. John, Joachim lelewel, etc.), memorial plaques (Anthony Wiveliscombe, etc.). Created tombstones on the grave of his brother (the józef Balukiewicz and historian 1925; Joachim Lelewel, 1932) in the cemetery of Ross.
