Engineer-Lieutenant. In 1830 was tested by the Academy of arts in the title of architecture and recognized as worthy to pursue careers as architectural assistant at the Izhevsk factory.

Born in the family of an officer from the garrison. In 1830, the Academy of arts awarded him the title of class architect. In 1836 he serves. Novgorod the assistant to the city architect. One of the first works Kamyshnikova - facade of the building L. Lehman on Zhukovsky street (the place of the literary Museum of A. M. Gorky). Kamyshnikov was in some extent involved in the development of facades and overseeing the construction of almost all houses in the city in the late 1830-ies. In 1839 - 1840 he designs and builds buildings of the farmstead of merchant D. Klimov, Mayakovsky street (36). In 1841 due to a conflict with a policeman by the architect G. I. Kamyshnikov Kiesewetter left the service. Design work in the city he returned after retiring from the service Kieswetter. In 1846 he designs the facade of the house of merchant G. Dolganov (Krasnoflotskaya str, 40).
