Born in Velizh. He lived and worked in Leningrad. He is the author of the pictures "Lenin's Speech from an Armored Car", "Barricades", "In the Flight to the Front", "F. Dzerzhinsky" and others. He was arrested in the first days of February. Shot on April 7, 1938. He was posthumously rehabilitated.
