An auditor student at the Academy of fine Arts. In 1851 awarded the title of class artist for a portrait painted from life; in 1865 - the title of class artist of 3 degrees; in 1867, the title of academician of mosaic art. (Kondakov)

In 1851 was issued from Academy of arts with the title of class artist of portrait painting, and was at the chemist Professor Rafaeli as a translator. In 1852 he entered the service in the Mosaic institution. In 1961, promoted to senior artists and mosaicists. In 1867 at the world exhibition in Paris Mosaic office at the SPb Academy of arts awarded gold medal (for the image, full Hmelevski). Academician mosaic 1867
