Arkadievich Sokolov

Graphic artist, painter, poet. He was born in Odessa. Studied at Odessa HU in the Studio, Theophilus Fraerman (1935-1939). Enrolled in the Lviv Institute of applied and decorative art (1947). After a year interrupted training and enrolled at Odessa HU, from which he graduated in 1951. From 1955 until the end of his life he worked in the Odessa Museum of Western and Oriental art researcher, head of exposure. In 50 years only in Odessa, the author, who's own creativity openly struggled with the doctrine of socialist realism. Works are in numerous collections in Odessa, Ukraine, Russia, USA, Japan.
