The Dutch painter. Son and pupil of Cornelis of Angels Verspronck, Jan Cornelis worked in the Studio of Frans Hals in Haarlem. In 1632 he joined the Guild of St. Luke of Haarlem. He wrote exclusively portraits, in composition, a relaxed and balanced and in color, based on several muted colors, he initially follows his teacher, but soon freed from the influence of Hals and even in opposition to his wisdom, refinement of execution. the nuances of grey and ashen tones and monochrome background.
