Born in the city of Novoropsk, Bryansk oblast, Russia. In 1937 he graduated from the Penza art College. Later he studied painting at KHI, where his teacher was the famous painter A. Shovkunenko (graduated in 1945). Lived and worked in Kiev. A member of the artists Union of the USSR. Works are in many private collections and also in Lugansk regional art Museum.
