Chinese painter, poet and calligrapher of the Qing dynasty, known under the pseudonym Bada Shanzhen.

In 1644 took refuge from the Manchu troops in a Buddhist monastery in 1648 he became a monk. In 1672 he left the monastery, led the life of an itinerant monk-artist.
