Lives and works in Ivanovo. Bassarov Apollo Stepanovich was born in Ivanovo on 9 June 1928 in the family of the artist. In 1950. he graduated from the Ivanovo art College, his teachers were S. I. Troitsky, I. N. Nefedov, S. S. Chebyshev, N. G.Boers.
Since 1950 he worked as a decorator in the regional Drama theatre.
With 1953. in 1988. worked as an artist in the Art Fund of the RSFSR. He wrote portraits of the best workers, scientists, pioneers - heroes.
The artist took an active and constant participation in the design of the city to significant dates.
