Georges Pompidou National Centre for Arts and Culture holds an exhibition
"Art on Paper in the Twentieth Century.".
With this exhibition, the Pompidou Center pays tribute to Paul Destribatz (1926-2017), whose exceptional collection of 12,000 "little papiers" (manifestos, tracts, posters, programs, etc.) recently added to the Kandinsky Library collection thanks to a major donation.
A polymath and passionate collector, he collected these "little papiers" methodically and persistently for nearly fifty years, allowing us art connoisseurs to discover and realize the fundamental role of all kinds of publications in the construction of the most radical avant-garde movements. They are an important addition to the collection of the National Museum of Modern Art.
