Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow presents the exhibition
"Strangers don't walk here." The artist Sergey Shutov (born 1955) is a classic of the "New Wave", a pioneer of the Russian video art, an exhibitor at the Venice Biennale (2001).
The exposition presents iconic works by Shutov created between 1990-2000s, when the artist was actively exploring the possibilities of new computer and sound technologies.
The title of the exhibition was given by a now famous interactive installation by Sergey Shutov "Strangers Don't Walk Here" (2000) - a dissected children's table hockey game, only instead of hockey players the author put snow-covered sparkling fur trees, and in the goal are figures of "strangers", who seem to be lost in an animate forest.
