"Jacques Louis David: The Radical Draughtsman.
The project was the first exhibition devoted to the works on paper of the famous French artist, who overcame enormous creative and political differences throughout his life, from his birth in Paris in 1748 to his death in exile in Brussels in 1825.
Organized chronologically, the exhibit features more than eighty oil paintings and sketches, including rarely exhibited or recently discovered works drawn from The Met's collections and dozens of museum collections and private collections.
