The Tree, Boris Oshkukov

Boris Lazarevich Oshkukov, as a creative man, was able to see in wood not only the wood as a useful material for his creative works, but a certain universal energy that lurks in it. This happened ten years after he entered the world of fine art. The artist saw wood as a material for sculpture in the summer house where he set up his creative studio. Initially he applied it in the project "Logs", which involved the construction of a country park, where the main characters were planned to make more than a dozen sculptures made of logs, covered with decorative painting. For him, wood in the form of material, both for models and for finished works, was a godsend and a creative acquisition that he used throughout his life's journey.
