Art Rostov" art exhibition

From April 21 to 30 the most important cultural event of this spring - the long-awaited Art Rostov art show, which will bring together artists, craftsmen and art-sphere figures from all over Russia, will be held at DonExpoCenter.
Each exhibition of "Art Rostov" is unique and unrepeatable, as every year the organizers create a new concept. The theme of this year's project is "Expedition to the World of Art".
- We invite guests of the exhibition "Art Rostov" to a real expedition through the world of painting, sculpture, music, literature, arts and crafts and modern technology. Let each author become a guiding star for you, and his creativity - a thread linking the real world and the world of art, - says Karina Lagutkina, General Director of DonExpoCenter.
The premiere multimedia project "Roerich. The path to light". More than 80 works of the famous Russian artist, scenographer, philosopher, writer, traveler and public figure will be presented in the format of "living canvases" in the author's biographical film. It will be shown simultaneously on 12 large-format screens located in a circle. The audience is also waiting for an interactive zone with touch screens, infographic stands, 3D-holograms, installations and photo zone.
In addition, as a demonstration of current trends, the exhibition will feature paintings in the style of Nicholas Roerich, generated by a neural network.
In the "Modern Art" zone the young artist Svetlana Krynichnaya will create an extraordinary watercolor painting in front of the audience. Art performance, which will involve visitors to the exhibition, will be prepared by the art craft bar "Innocence".
All in all, "Art Rostov", which will occupy 9000 square meters, will feature paintings, drawings, as well as sculptures, photographs, art objects and installations from more than 200 participants. Exhibitors will come from Rostov region, Krasnodar region, Stavropol region, Kazan, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Perm region, Mordovia, Lipetsk region, Crimea, Yekaterinburg, Volgograd region and other regions of Russia.
Among the regular participants are Peter Frolov Gallery, Oleg Timoshin Gallery, artists Yuri Obukhovsky and Mikhail Avdeev. For the first time at "Art Rostov" will come A.N. Art gallery, workshop "One hundred years in the afternoon," "Art-Beton", "Association of artists of new time," artist Konstantin Ugryumov and Margo Coe.
For all 10 days the exhibition "Art Rostov" will become a location where you can not only admire the art objects and buy them, but also to take part in interesting activities. The exhibition program includes master classes, lectures about art, creative performances, raffle prizes - more than 35 activities in total.
One of the brightest and most public events will be a flash mob "Drawing like Roerich". More than 150 people will try to repeat one of Nicholas Roerich's masterpieces. A professional artist-teacher will help them in this. The authors of the best works will receive diplomas and prizes.
