The State Central Museum of Cinema is one of the young Russian museums. It was founded in March 1989 on the basis of the reorganized Museum Department of the All-Union Film Propaganda Bureau.
The new space of the Cinema Museum at VDNH has three cinema halls for showing films from the museum’s collection, equipped areas for permanent exhibitions and thematic exhibitions, auditoriums for lectures on the history and theory of cinema art, a cafe and a company store.
