Description of the artwork «Monks (come)»

Do you know that Repin's painting "Sailed" – not Repin written, and is called otherwise "The monks (Not to come)". Inhabits the painting in Ukraine, in Sumy art Museum. Nicanor Hackage, and wrote her contemporary Repin, Voronezh artist and educator Lev Solovyov, who also has a lot of iconography.

However, the plot, despite the different name, is well within the sense which they put in, remembering allegedly the work of Repin. When the situation leads to confusion of the participants, as ridiculous and a little ashamed when after the turn (literal or allegorical) is not what was intended, we exhale and say: "Well, the picture of Repin "Sailed!". And smile – fun or sarcastic depending on the situation.

Looking at the picture, which stuck it's name, it is difficult to maintain the seriousness. A river on the outskirts of the foggy weather, poor visibility. On the boat the monks. Really unknown where they were headed, but obviously in some other place. But in the fog, their boat washed up on the shore where the village women wash. Some sort of women's bath on the river. I suppose, bhikkhus, when the fog cleared and they found themselves surrounded by many naked ladies, but to summarize: Repin's painting "Sailed"!

The fun story makes the fact that the monks did not divert the eyes from the temptations of the devil, on the contrary, stared at the girls eyes. Special charm in a picture bring two mischievous kids who only look seem to the viewer straight in the eye. It seems they have caught on not monastic looking at naked ladies, and now zoogocho: got you, they say. And we will just have to agree to nod: "Repin Pattern "came", do not deny, they say."

In all probability, at one of the exhibitions not to call "Monks" side by side with the works of Ilya Repin. In Association with the aphoristic title of another of his work – "Unexpected" – could be it "Repin "Sailed".
