Gennady
Vasilievich Zhivotov

Born in 1946 in Kemerovo. He graduated from MVHPU them. Stroganov (1975). And although he studied at the faculty of ceramics and performed graduate work in this material, their professional educator Bellies believes muralist F. Voloshko. Immediately upon graduation he began working as an artist of monumental-decorative art. Years 1975-1983. it was made in the authors team and independently for wall mosaics of the Houses of friendship in Kabul, Afghanistan, Tunisia, Sofia. In the early 1980s, he had internal urgent need to engage in the painting and easel graphics as independent art forms. Repeated tours in Afghanistan was the reason of creating a new picturesque cycle of stories associated with military operations. A decade later, the harsh reality of the early canvases displaces interest in another subject — the history of the old and New Testaments.

For the series "Afghan diary" Bellies was awarded a silver medal. M. B. Grekova.

In 1994 held a personal exhibition, which was widely presented works of different periods, reflecting the constant creative search of the author, his complex relationship with the surrounding world.

G. V. Bellies participated in many Moscow, Republican and international exhibitions. His works are in private collections in Germany, Italy, England, USA.
