Born in the village Yaropovychi Zhytomyr region. In 1941 – 1942 he studied at the art Studio in Magnitogorsk (I. Grabar). People's artist of Ukraine since 1994. In 1994 was awarded the State prize of Ukraine them. T. Shevchenko. Lives and works in Zhitomir.
