Description of the artwork «Capital»

The same window, table, lamp and a bottle of vodka appear in "the Bottle and the lamp" (1964. Rabin. Almanac. Timing. 2007. P.71).

This theme appears again in "Russian pop art" (1963. Museum Maillol, Dina Vierny Foundation). "When I named my painting "Russian pop art" that does not mean the American version. It was all the same life of the Russian people, where is the vodka meant a lot. And at birth and death, in joy and in sorrow, and just from the gray melancholy of life has always been vodka. Pop art I only suggested that it is possible to increase the label to the size of the picture, emphasizing the importance that the vodka had in the life of the Soviet people. By the way, I had another picture with a label of vodka Starka. I called her "Old Pop art" [of the Drums. 2007. P. 17].
