Born in Sabile. He graduated from the secondary art school named after Rosenthal in 1964. year.
He studied at the art Academy of Latvia, Department of painting in E. Kalnina with the thesis work “ Attack”.
The artist worked in the Riga art school. Ya Rosenthal (1972 – 1973) and the Latvian Academy of arts, the faculty of education since 1973. year.
