Dmitrievich Basanets

Born 3 Sep 1931 in Lebedyn, Sumy oblast.

Painter. Honored worker of arts of Ukraine, member of the National Union of artists of Ukraine.

In 1962 he graduated from Kiev art Institute (workshop V. Puzyrkov). Studied at K. Trokhymenko, V. Kostecki.

Works in different genres of painting - thematic picture, landscape, still life. His works are distinguished lyrical perception of the world transformed into poetic artistic resentment and scenic motifs. At the same time, genre pictures, the indicated narrative motivation, plot development operation, detects the academic balance in relation to the plastic form.

Works: "new life" (1962), "Kolgospna spring" (1965), "Portrait Divini" (1966), "vesnyani day" (1967), "rankova MD Posta" (1972), "Sashko" (1973), "Molod parostky" (1976), "Praski on pediconi" (1979), "Spring in the guerrilla fight" (1980), "Praski Nadiya" (1985), "If on earth peace" (1986), "Woman portrait. Evening promene" (1995), "Sleep-grass" (1998).

The National Academy of fine arts and architecture works at the Department of painting and composition from 1962 - 1990 Professor.
