Chairman of the Union of artists of Estonia, who stayed for a long time the rector of the Estonian Academy of arts.

Ando Keskkula graduated from Estonian art Academy in 1973 and entered the cultural life of Estonia in the group of avant-garde artists SOUP69.

From 1974 to 1977 Keskkula was a consultant at the Union of artists of Estonia, from 1977 to 1987 — the chief artist of the Art Fund of the Estonian SSR, in 1985 became Professor of Art Academy, and in 1993 a Professor, he became a member of the Union of artists in 1976, and in 1989 — member of designers ' Union of Estonia.

Examples of creativity Keskkula stored in the Museum Kumu, Tartu art Museum, the collections of Tallinn art Fund and the Museum Ludwig in Cologne.

In 1999 Ando Keskkula (with Peeter Pere and Yuri, Ojavere) represented Estonia at the Venetian Biennale with interactive video installation "Breathing" ("Hingus").
