Portals. Polyptych of 9 works.

The series of works consists of nine canvases, each of which has a size of 50x50 cm. In this series I convey my feeling of transition between a linear, volatile and changeable street space and a chamber, static yard space. The arch, the driveway, the main entrance are similar to teleportation places, when you are transferred from the noisy and bustling world to another environment, where the invisible spirit of the city is hidden. The courtyard, the front garden or, simply, the door or window of the house are those fragments of reality that have for me a certain multi-layeredness. At first, it is a form, light and light, almost in their abstract sense, then it is an image and associative series caused by it. Time stops here or begins to go backwards, as if projecting a story about someone’s unknown life onto the walls.
In 2018, the work was exhibited at the Street Stories exhibition in the Central House of Artists and at the City Stories exhibition in GazPrombank.
