Peter Frans de Grebber (niderl. Pieter Fransz. de Grebber ; about 1600, Haarlem, Noord — Holland- between 24 September 1652 and 29 January 1653, ibid) — a Dutch historical painter, portraitist, graphic artist and decorator. Artist from the Dutch Golden age.
The eldest son of the painter Frans Peters de Grebber (Frans Pietersz de Grebber, 1573-1643), master of historical painting and portraits. First painting lessons received from his father, worked in his Studio, then joined the training to the painter and engraver Hendrick by Hendrick Goltzius (Hendrick Goltzius, 1558-1617). The father of Greber served as Peter Paul Rubens, the young artist accompanied his father to Antwerp in 1618, where he met the great Flemish master.
Worked in his native city from 1621 to 1652. Visited Denmark, in addition, worked in Delft (1638) and the Hague (1638, 1646, 1648, 1650). Member of the Guild of St. Luke Harkema.
Died in Harlem of the convent of Beguines, leaving behind numerous paintings, drawings and a few etchings of historical and mythological subjects.
