Anna Pavlovna (Matveeva) Pavlova (1881–1931) - Russian ballet dancer, prima ballerina of the Mariinsky Theater in 1906–1913, one of the greatest ballet dancers of the 20th century. After the outbreak of the First World War, she settled in Great Britain, constantly toured with her troupe around the world, performing in more than 40 countries and in many of them for the first time presenting the art of ballet. Anna Pavlova's tours contributed to the affirmation of the world glory of Russian ballet.
