In 1985 he graduated from college with honors. He was sent to work in a drama theater as an artist-decorator, from where he was drafted into the army. After serving in the army, he works a lot on himself, studying drawing styles, after which he finds his own special style, which he transfers to his canvases. After 70 paintings are painted, the works fall into the Union of Artists of Ukraine, where Mykita V. (now an academician of art) was the chairman, he passes the commission and joins the union. After his first personal exhibition of works entitled “My Images”, the number of works exhibited is 33. Two works were selected and became the property of the Bokshay Museum. After his work, exhibited in Czechoslovakia and Hungary. Many paintings are in private collections in Darmstadt, USA, Yugoslavia, Budapest, Czech Republic.
Without lowering his head before a serious illness, he is treated and at the same time works a lot. Throughout his life he wrote about 800 paintings. In 1995, organizes the last exhibition of works, to his 30th anniversary, after which he was accepted as a member of the artists of Ukraine.

CREATIVELY:
The main emphasis in the works is placed not on form and drawing, but on color, making color functions as the main way to build an artistic device. Color builds a composition, it solves plastic and some psychological tasks. And so the painting is transformed into a space that pulsates and explodes with complex color combinations.
Gradually, a bright and at the same time harmonious composition includes an image of a person. Space and man - two phenomena of a different nature - are not found on the canvas in order to put an equal sign between them, faster, in order to combine a subtle connection where there is intransigence, conflict, harmony and nostalgia. They, like a theater scene, are drawn into an interesting game, the task of which is about to become clear, although its individual reflections are only perceptible. The creative laboratory of Vladimir Cherepani, in addition to figurative and spatial compositions, also includes still lifes. Some of them are abstract, while others are completely realistic. In recent works, the artist, as it were, moves to another plane of thinking.
