Alkhovsky comes from a family of artists and studied at the well-known academy “I. E. Repin 'in St. Petersburg, where he also worked as a lecturer in the following years. Since 1996, the artist has lived alternately in Hamburg and St. Petersburg and now has an international reputation. Most recently, Kunstverein Wopswede presented a retrospective of the artist at the 'Blaue Haus', an exhibition in St. Petersburg is planned.
