Born in Moscow in 1935, Natta Konysheva is a painter and graphic artist. A bright representative of the "Soviet avant-garde". She studied at MPI under E.M. Belyutin, I.I. Chekmazov (1954-1959). In 1959 graduated from the Moscow Polygraphic Institute, exhibited mainly in the company of "unofficial" artists. Apartment exhibitions, rare semi-permitted shows at large venues - Konysheva joined the stream of the Soviet post-war underground. As a result, she was included in the lists of "other" art. She participated in exhibitions since 1965. In the 1960s and 1970s she worked in industrial graphics. Illustrated and designed books for the publishing houses "Soviet Writer", Geografgiz, Altai book publishing house. Personal exhibitions of N.I. Konysheva were held in Moscow (1974, 1987, 1988) and in France (1988 Konysheva is known not only in Russia. Her works were offered for sale at Sotheby's, she was visited by the famous French collector of Russian painting Rene Gera. Several times Konysheva lived and worked as a guest of his. Her works are represented in many museums around the world (State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, Museum of Naive Art in Nice, France, etc.), and private collections in Russia, France, Italy, Germany and other countries.
